Withdrawal or Retraction Policy
Biotory Publications strongly discourages the withdrawal or removal of articles. Manuscript submission and withdrawal are entirely at the discretion of the author, and we respect their decision. However, withdrawal is acceptable only for exceptional and unavoidable reasons, as it involves the considerable time and effort invested by our editors, reviewers, and editorial staff. Here are the withdrawal policies:
Withdrawal Timing:
Authors can withdraw their article at no charge if the withdrawal occurs within 24-48 hours of the initial submission.
Withdrawal Penalty:
If an author requests the withdrawal of a manuscript after the peer review process or during the publication phase (Early release) or after it has been published online, a withdrawal penalty of 349 USD will be applied.
Withdrawal Process:
• To initiate the withdrawal process, the author must submit an "Article withdrawal Form," signed by all authors or the corresponding author of the manuscript. This form should state the reasons for manuscript withdrawal.
• The withdrawal form can be obtained from the Editorial Office of the journal department.
Removal or Retraction:
• Articles that have been withdrawn by the author or retracted by the publisher will be accompanied by a notice explaining the reason for the withdrawal or retraction.
• Articles in Press (articles accepted for publication or published as E-pub Ahead of Schedule but not formally published with volume/issue/page information) that violate publishing ethics guidelines (e.g., multiple submissions, fake authorship claims, plagiarism, fraudulent data use) may be "Withdrawn" from the journal. Withdrawal means that the article files are removed and replaced with a PDF stating that the article has been withdrawn from the journal in accordance with Biotory Editorial Policies.
Article Retraction:
Published articles that contain violations of professional ethical codes, such as multiple submissions, false authorship claims, plagiarism, fraudulent data use, or similar issues, are retracted. Biotory Publications follows the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) for article retractions.
Multiple Publication/Re-publication:
Editors of Biotory Publications have policies regarding prior publication. Abstracts and posters presented at conferences, results shared at meetings for informational purposes, and results databases (data presented in tables and text without interpretation, discussion, context, or conclusions) are not considered prior publications.
Authors wishing to publish translations of articles previously published elsewhere must ensure they have the appropriate permissions, specify that the material has been translated and republished, and clearly attribute the original source of the material.
These policies are designed to uphold ethical standards in publishing and ensure transparency in the handling of withdrawn articles, retractions, and redundant publications.
